WILLIAM OSORIO
Born in Holguin, Cuba 1989
Resides in Miami, Florida

William Osorio was born in 1989. He attended the Fine Art Schools in his hometown of Holguin, Cuba, where he studied sculpture and painting. In 2007, he migrated to the US.

Osorio initially settled in Boston, where he began to explore a wide range of media using collage, acrylic, oils, and charcoal. Later Osorio moved to Miami, a city he now calls home.

Although Osorio does have some formal training, it is precisely his rejection of continued studies through the traditional academic path that has led to key elements in his work, the spontaneity and expression that he aims to achieve within his artwork. He completed a residency through Oolite Arts at Anderson Ranch Arts Center (Snowmass Village, CO), and is currently an Artist-In-Residence at Bakehouse Art Complex (Miami, FL).
